My goal as a youngster was to read the entire set of encyclopedias. Which, one night I sat down with Volume A. Never having gotten past that volume I now think if I had stuck with my goal I would be finished by now. But what interested me most in my adulthood is human behavior in reaction to their environment and their acceptance level, combined with their learned beliefs. In other words, what makes man tick? What makes the world go 'round. Why do we do what we do? And who really cares? ...philosophies on early childhood - the way boys play and with what - the way girls play and with what. What makes a man prefer a specific thing in a woman. What makes one man a titman, another a legman, and still another an assman? ....why do some people keep getting dumped? ...why - regardless of their looks - some people can't find someone to date, and others have dates seven nights a week? ...why are we so hard on ourselves? ...how do we attract the opposite sex? ...how do you know when someone is falling in love with you? ...what makes sports so important to men? (According to a survey done at eBay, only 44% of the men polled would miss the Super bowl for the birth of their first born child. That means 56% would NOT miss the Super Bowl for the birth of their first child!) ...did you know that studies show that women prefer different facial features in a man based on her menstrual cycle? For instance, women prefer a more masculine face at the peak fertility in their cycle - when they are most likely to become pregnant, and a more feminine faced man at other times. That is because, based on the theory of evolution, masculine faced men have better immune systems - a trait we want to pass on to our offspring, let feminine faced men tend to make better partners. Women tend to associate feminized male faces with positive traits such as honesty, warmth, co-operation and skill as a parent. You women out there think about this, does your physical preferences in a man change with your menstrual cycle? I thought about this theory and applied it to my most recent 'love interest'. When I met him I was not in my fertility stage and wasn't that attracted to him, let one week later I started to look at his kind eyes, and soft features, and found it to be very appealing. Could my attraction wax and wane with my menstrual cycle? Or could I just have been more attracted to him once I got to know him and like him better? And what makes us physically or visually attracted to people anyway? Could what we consider 'attractive' be based on commercials and media exploiting their version of 'perfect', or is it an instinctual thing? I am of Polish, Irish, English, French, and Scottish decent (whew, that's a lot of loving going on!), yet - as a younger child - I was attracted to the dark-skin and hair of those of Mexican and Indian decent. Truth be told, I always found darker-haired men far more appealing than fair-haired men, yet my friends' preferences are completely opposite. Is it based on our early experiences? My father was dark-haired. Or, what if I had endured a painful encounter with a light-haired man? Would that make me find (or subconsciously associate) light-haired men as being repulsive? Would I tend to disregard, or even dislike, all fair-haired men? ``````````` Let's leave this subject for a minute and talk about Life in general. I mean real LIFE! The theory used to be that Life originated in our oceans and waterbeds. But a half-of-a-century of experiments have disproven this theory - somewhat. Whereas life did not originate in our water, it was there that life got its growth. ...having sprung from underground volcano-vents, called 'black-smokers', life originated from deep within the Earth itself. A belief made much more possible in light of the fact that there are traces of relatively advanced life found in ancient rocks from Greenland. Life dated over 3.85 billion years! If you say, 'so what' then consider the fact that the Solar System is four and a half billion years old. Now take into account that for the first billion years after the planets formed they were bombarded violently by huge giant asteroids and comets. The biggest of these relentless impacts would have easily blasted away the Earth's atmosphere and blanketed the globe in incandescent rock vapour, producing heat pulses fierce enough to boil the Earth's oceans dry and to sterilize the exposed land to a depth of half a mile or more. Let life was supposedly found that has dated over 3.85 billion years ago! The only explanation for this is that life started deep below our Earth's surface, deep enough to survive the onslaught of a billion years of fire, ashen atmospheres, asteroids, and comets. But wait a minute....what if...what if we... ....WHAT IF WE ARE FROM MARS?! Are we from Mars? Could we really be martians that have been transported to Earth? NOW- AS WE ALL KNOW - THE MARTIAN ATMOSPHERE IS UNINHABITABLE, RIGHT? Wrong! If the theory that life did, indeed, begin deep within the Earth, it may also have got going beneath the surfaces of other planets, too - especially that of Mars! When the two Viking space probes landed there in 1977 they scooped up some surface dirt to test for biological activity. When no clear evidence was found, Mars was pronounced the Dead Planet. No life there, right? But the key word here is 'surface'. The Viking probes scooped up some 'surface' dirt. Today, Mars is a freeze-dried desertland tortured by ultra-violet radiation. Impossible conditions to almost all known organisms. However, what about deep within the planet itself, below the hostile surface layer? If life could be formed and sustained on Earth during the first billion years, why not Mars? Yes Mars is a cold and dry planet today - but in the past Mars was a planet of warmth and water - just like Earth. It had richly flowing rivers and glaciers, and possibly a large ocean - just like Earth. Life may well have started below it's surface - just like Earth - and migrated through volcanos and movement to the surface to flourish, even briefly, in the Martian springs and pools of water, long before the atmosphere disappated and the temperatures plunged. Let's just say, for the sake of humoring me here, that life did occur, briefly, during this time. Now taking that reasoning and the fact that back in the early history of the Solar System, when this heavy pounding of asteroids and comets that hit the surface of this Earth caused us to kick out vast numbers of Earth rock out into space, hitting other planets. Additionally, other planets experienced the same assault - kicking rock into space. Mars is one of these planets. It is more than possible that during this time, rocks from Earth landed on the Martian surface, and rocks from Mars landed on Earth's surface. Could life dwelling within these rocks have hitched a ride from Mars to earth, to take up residency here? ....there is much current evidence that points to the theory that the planet Earth and Mars have cross-contaminated each other billions of years ago. Theoretically, it is possible that life originated on Mars and travelled to Earth via meteorites, If so, that would mean that we are all Martian Descendants! ````````````` okay, back to my previous babble... I prefer taller men. ...but this doesn't mean I couldn't or wouldn't fall in love with a short man - because I have! But why do I, or women in general , prefer a man that is taller? Well theory suggests that tall men represent health, they just appear to be healthier than their shorter counterpoints. But, you know what I say to that theory? BS!!!!! I simply prefer a taller man, because he makes me feel 'smaller', i.e. more feminine, more attractive. Simple as that! When I am with a short man I feel like a clumsy ox! I feel humongous! Unfeminine. Totally masculine and bulky - and, well, just plain ugly! Yet when I am with a man that is bigger than me, especially one who is a GOOD DEAL bigger than me, I feel so petite and cute and sweet and demur - and feminine!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TIME TO DYE MY HAIR! According to a recent poll taken of 920 men at http://www.freevote.com, a staggering 89.3% preferred brunettes, followed by 6.3% blondes, and 4.3% preferring redheads. Huh? Exccuuuuse me, but I always thought blondes had more fun! Could blondes just feel more sexy - hence leading them to feeling more confident - hence leading them to give off the air of self-reliance - thereby making them appear to be more attractive? Or could blondes really be 'dumb', as dumb as the joke goes? So dumb that they could have fun with a brown paper bag and a string? Is that why blondes have more fun? My own hair color has changed throughout my life. I haven't a clue to what my true hair color is anymore. I know I started out as a blonde. Sometime between my first and third year I turned into a strawberry blonde. Then around grammar school I ended up Auburn. In my teen years I went from Auburn, to Brunette, to Blonde - depending on the time of year and my personal exposure to the sun. As an adult I started dying my hair. Every color on the Clairol chart! Sometimes going through the entire chart in a few weeks time, trying to find what I liked. Mostly these days I am a dark-beige blonde. But, I truly do not know what my natural hair color is! Is it blonde, strawberry, auburn, or brunette? (And don't tell me to look below for my answer - as I like to be bare!) More laughable are my eyes. They were blue, too, during my first few years. Then they slowly changed to green, and then hazel, and then charcoal grey - and then back to green. Now, they are just about every color of the available contact color-chart. I guess they change with my mood. Sometimes with my alcohol content. Hangovers give me charcoal grey eyes. Good health gives me blue. Falling in love invariably make my eyes appear to be green. And, no, my nose did not grow as I write this :) I guess God couldn't make up His mind on what He wanted for me, so He just decided to give me it all! Makes for very difficult cyber dating, though. Prospective partners think me nuts when, over an Instant Message, I reply "I don't know" to the question of "What's your eye color/ hair color. I guess, by my reply, they just assume I must be a blonde :) Anyway, back to the poll - according to the same site, men preferred blue-eyed women, with results based of 181 men polled. 43% voted for blue eyes, 28.1% for green eyes, 14.9% hazel, 9.9% brown, and only 3.8% grey. Is it safe to assume that the seven men who voted for grey eyes were taking the poll while in accompany of their grey-eyed wives? In other words, if you are a blue-eyed brunette, you have it made! However, if you are a grey-eyed redhead you might as well dig a hole. Ugh! Anyway, I must admit I prefer brunettes over blondes, too. To me men with darker hair just appear to be more masculine then their blond-haired buddies. Blondes appear weaker to me. I don't know why. I suppose Triple H would laugh at that assumption, huh? Sitting here writing this I decided to do a poll on my children. My daughter was most attractive to blondes. My youngest son preferred blondes, whereas his brother 'didn't know' (he's my 'easiest to please' child) and his older brother preferred brunettes. None of them preferred redheads. So there you have it. According to my own personal poll conducted here, 50% preferred blondes over brunettes and redheads, 25% went for the brunette, and 25% were undecided. Just for the heck of it, speaking of surveys, here's a good one: TOP QUALITIES WOMEN LOOK FOR IN A MAN!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How come men never say, "it's a man's world"? ```````````````````````` How come men don't have their own WHEN GUYS GO WILD? I mean, wouldn't it be cool if men were pulling down pants to show off tight asses or their erected or flaccid penis? Well? It'd be the biggest seller. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is a book out called, What men know that women don't. It raises the following questions: Divorce, custody, reproductive rights: How come 85% of the children of divorce end up in the custody of their mothers? How come fathers are still not regarded as "equal" parents to their children? How come families receiving Welfare prohibit the father from being present? How did abortion come to be a "woman's" right to choose instead of a "parent's" right to choose? Crime and sentencing: How come women routinely receive 50% less jail time for committing the same crime as a man? How come women can utilize the "abuse excuse" and men can't -- a woman can shoot her husband, plead in court that he abused her, and receive a light sentence -- but a man can't shoot his wife and get away with that? How come when a woman and a man face off in court, and it's his word against hers, she is believed and he isn't? Is it possible we still regard women as being "morally superior" to men? Despite all historical evidence to the contrary, do we still believe women are less likely to lie or cheat or manufacture deceptions? Health care: How come 19 out of 20 people who die on the job are men? How come women live 8 years longer than men? How come 4 out 5 suicides are men? How come 85% of the homeless are men? How come breast cancer funding receives 5 times more support than prostate cancer funding even though they both kill about the same number of people each year? How come, since domestic violence is a 50/50 proposition -- just as many women beat up men as men beat up women -- government funds women's shelters and not men's shelters? Military Draft: How come women can be Senators and Supreme Court Justices and Secretaries of State, and yet they never have to register for the Selective Service to defend the very form of government that allows them these high privileges? Are we creating an Aristocracy of Women? If our society permitted a special category of men who were born into a privileged position whereby they were never expected to perform hard physical labor nor fight in time of war, would we not consider these men a class of aristocrats? Why is it different for women? The Real Problem Between Men and Women The real problem between men and women can be traced to the fact that the pundits of popular culture have turned everything upside down. They have managed to completely misunderstand men's nature and women's nature, male traits and female traits. "Mater", the Latin word for mother, is the root word of materialism. For thousands of years human beings have known that women are more materialistic than men. And yet we live in a culture which tells us men are the materialists. But if men are object-oriented and women are people-oriented how come six times more retail space is devoted to women's personal items than to men's items? And how come men play team sports? We believe that women are intuitive and men are logical, but where does our art and music and literature come from if not male intuition -- those rarefied abstract sortés into intuitive realms? Psychology has taught us that our "masculine side" is aggressive and domineering and territorial and our "feminine side" is kind and caring and sharing. Where's the proof of this? Haven't any of these people had dealings with female lawyers or realtors or advertising executives? My "kind, caring, sharing" side is my "kind, caring, sharing side", not my "female side". Women are widely believed to be more "spiritual" than men. "Morally superior" to men. What hole did they pull this out of? Far and away most of the noted spiritual and moral leaders of all time have been men. Women are just as greedy and manipulative and self-serving as men -- maybe more so. Men are larger than women so they manipulate women physically. Women are smaller so they manipulate men emotionally. The emotional manipulation of men by women is the unspoken abuse of our era. let's address these questions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Tigress Luv Rant about our food?
